Mystery Monsters Movie Review 1997

Squidgy, Blop, and Esmerelda are a trio of mini monsters/space aliens stolen by evil earthling Captain Mike and forced to impersonate puppets on his kiddie TV show. Their only chance at escape lies with the show's child co-stars but things get worse when wicked Queen Mara, who's from a parallel universe and originally enslaved our little heroes, shows up to foul up their plans. Cheesy charmer with a surprisingly cynical sense of humor that makes it watchable for adults as well as kids.
