Vanity Fair Movie Review 1967

BBC TV adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray's satire on human folly in 19th-century England. Amoral governess (and anti-heroine) Becky Sharp (Hampshire) will stop at nothing to climb the social ladder, aided by a wealthy marriage and her own audacity, which ultimately leads to scandal.
