In 1943's "Calling Dr. Death," Chaney plays a neurologist with an unfaithful wife who gets herself murdered. Naturally, Chaney's the primary suspect. In 1944's "Strange Confession" idealistic writer Chaney is made a fool of by publishing mogul Naish, who not only distorts his work but steals his wife. So Chaney plans an appropriate revenge. Based on the "The Inner Sanctum Mysteries" radio show.
