Low-budget variation of "Rashomon." Drinking buddies Johnny (Cubitt) and Grant (Stockwell) wind up in a back alley brawl and Johnny takes a bullet, supposedly shot dead by Grant. Only their friends, Gale (Garofalo), Martin (Drillinger), and Amy (Lippman), who witnessed the fight all saw it differently. So they decide to stash the corpse in their car trunk and head out across the desert to California. There's a last-minute revelation and a big finale but the strain shows.
