Follows the formation of the only American infantry division trained for mountain and winter warfare in WWII. Founded in 1941, the Army's 10th Mountain Division was an outgrowth of the National Ski Patrol. Includes training footage as well as footage of the unit's assault on Italy's Riva Ridge and interviews with some dozen surviving unit members.
