Eden Valley Movie Review 1994

A low-key intensity marks this northeast England drama that's produced, written, and directed by an eight-member film cooperative, the Amber Production Team. Troubled Newcastle teenager Billy (Bell) is put on probation for drug and theft charges and in a last-ditch chance at turning his life around goes to live with his estranged father, Hoggy (Hogg). They haven't seen each other in 10 years and Hoggy lives on a farm in County Durham where he raises and trains horses for harness racing. Naturally, their relationship is strained and there aren't any easy solutions (kinda like in real life).
