Just when you thought it was safe to run with scissors! Dorine (Kane) is a meek copy editor who is in danger of losing her job. After securing her position by accidentally electrocuting a fellow employee, Dorine begins some downsizing of her own. Pent up frustrations cause her sanity to take a personal leave of absence, and she begins to streamline her department by folding, spindling and mutilating her co-workers. Office tramp Kim (Ringwald) suspects the truth, but no one believes her. Stab at horror-black comedy isn't very scary or very funny. First directorial effort by still photographer Cindy Sherman, who didn't adapt very well to people moving around.
