Lumiere and Company Movie Review 1996

Contemporary directors celebrate the centennial of cinema with this homage to the pioneering Lumiere brothers. Each of the 40 film shorts were shot with a restored Lumiere camera under the same filmmaking conditions that existed 100 years ago.
