Patlabor: The Mobile Police--The Original Series, Vol. 3 Movie Review 1988

As the military tightens its grip on Tokyo, the Second Unit tries to gather the materials it needs and make its way through the besieged city in "The SV2's Longest Day, Part 2." In this interesting cat-and-mouse game where leaders on both sides know each other well, creative means are employed in an attempt to prevent a disaster. Next, a prototype labor is stolen and the Second Unit's investigation is hampered because the manufacturer doesn't want to give away its design secrets in "Go North SV2." Two good episodes that feature the intellectual skills of the SV2's Chief Goto.
