Lyrical Nitrate Movie Review 1991

Nitrate stock was the only film in use during the early days of filmmaking and half the films shot on the extremely volatile stock are thought to have disintegrated. Delpeut preserved some crumbling fragments of stock found in an Amsterdam theatre and put them together with an appropriate period soundtrack.
