The Sexual Life of the Belgians Movie Review 1994

Autobiographical comedy of sexual manners covering 1950 to 1978. Jan Bucquoy (Compere) grows up with a grim mother and immediately takes an interest in sex and beautiful women, which only heightens as he winds up in Brussels during the hedonistic '60s. He has a short, disastrous marriage, lots of affairs, not much sense, and a mocking disregard for Belgian provincialism. French with subtitles.
