Star Trek Deep Space Nine: Emissary Movie Review 1993

The second "Star Trek" spinoff, following "The Next Generation," finds Federation Commander Benjamin Sisko (Brooks) arriving at the space station, which orbits the planet Bajor. Bajor has just undergone a war of independence against the Cardassians, who have left both the planet and the station in a devastated condition. Sisko, naturally, must find a way to deal with a variety of unpleasant situations, crew, and station residents. The TV pilot is considered episodes one and two of the series; additional episodes are also available.
