Absent Without Leave Movie Review 1995

Ed (McLachlan) marries his pregnant girlfriend Daisy (Hobbs) in 1942 before joining the army. When Daisy miscarries, Ed pledges to take her home even though it means leaving the army wihout permission. As the newleyweds travel across the New Zealand countryside, they struggle with the new demands of their relationship.
