Turn-of-the-century family comedy based on the book by Frank B. Gilbreth Jr., and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey, which chronicled life in the expansive Gilbreth household--12 children, efficiency expert father Frank (Webb), and psychologist mother Lillian (Loy). Stern dad likes to test his theories on the family (and have everything his own way) while nuturing mom easily manages him as well as their large household. There are various family crises (times 12) but it's all very heartwarming. Followed by "Belles on Their Toes."
