When 19-year-old Hodge inherits a remote English estate from his great-uncle, he invites best friend Northam to spend a carefree summer, after both have told their parents they're vacationing in Greece. The boys are soon joined by Todd, Ford, and Warnecke in an informal commune but several disasters cause them to break off all contact for 12 years--until the remains of two bodies are discovered on the grounds and a police investigation is started. Made for British TV; based on the psychological thriller by Ruth Rendell (writing as Barbara Vine).
