Criminal profiler Hanna Carras (Severance) and Detective Andy Sachs (Michael) are assigned by DA Michael Weinberg (Wincott) to investigate investment banker Adrian Cross (Henriksen), the primary suspect in a series of grisly murders of young women. Cross likes to play mind games and soon Carras is very personally involved with the suspect but does that also make him the killer?
