Cindy and her younger brother try to cope with their mother's alcoholism, but when the night of her performance in the school play ends in embarassment due to her mother's drunken antics, Cindy decides it's time for help. Winner of two Emmy awards for Best Writing for a Children's Entertainment Special and Best Direction.
