Highlights the lives of six homeless women who struggle to survive. They are clean, educated, well-groomed and articulate. Also shows how many are displaced after years of marriage, long illness, or loss of a job. They live in their cars, avoiding possible rape, or robbery in public shelters. Winner at the American Psychiatric Association, 1995; Association for Women in Psychology, 1995; Gold Award Winner, Houston Film Festival, 1993.
