Some hot-button topics take the thriller route. When Theresa (Avital) becomes pregnant, she discovers her boyfriend Josh (Schaech) is seriously unbalanced. She decides on an abortion but retreats for some quiet time to an isolated lakeside cabin. Mistake--the expectant dad shows up and holds her prisoner until Theresa is too far along to terminate the pregnancy. When Josh finally releases her, Theresa heads for the cops and charges him with kidnapping. He gets a hot female lawyer (Rampling), who turns the media attention into making him a cause celebre for parental rights. Once the baby is born, Josh is also detemined to gain custody--by whatever means necessary.
