Charlie Jackson (Fairbanks) is a wacky, wealthy inventor who falls for Estrell Wynn (De La Motte), a society gal dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children. He tries to aid her in a variety of ways--none of which work out as he expects. The usually swashbuckling Fairbanks does get to rescue the heroine.
