Metal Skin Movie Review 1994

Nilhilistic nightmare, set in Melbourne, plays like an unintentional parody of '50s "B" juvenile delinquent movies. Aimless Joe (Young) has been taken under the wing of local Romeo Dazey (Mendelsohn), who's been romancing Roslyn (Garner) and Savina (Morice), two girls Joe is also interested in. Dazey also has Joe involved in illegal drag racing, leading, after much interim angst, to a racing battle between the two. Director Wright has shown his way with violent characters living on the fringes of society (see "Romper Stomper") but this is too much of a bad thing.
