Great Figures of the Bible Movie Review 1994

Nobel Prize winning humanist Elie Wiesel narrates this six-part series which re-creates six stories from the Bible. Filmed in the Holy Land with footage of works of art from around the world intercut with live-action. Includes discussions of the moral and ethical issues of each character and how they affect today's religious society. Based in part on Wiesel's "Messengers of God" and "Biblical Portraits and Legends" books.
