A beachside community outside Melbourne, Australia, Sorrento is home to the Moynihans. The three Moynihan sisters--Meg (Goodall), Hillary (Gillmer), and Pippa (Morice)--are reunited after 10 years by their father's sudden death. Lots of tensions, rivalries, and jealousies come to the surface as well as old secrets regarding a family tragedy. Talky film hasn't quite cast off its stage origins (it's adapted from a play by Hannie Rayson) but the performances are noteworthy.
