Cyber City Oedo 808, Data 1 Movie Review 1990

"Better a lousy chance than no chance" to paraphrase the prisoners serving impossibly long sentences who decide to join the ultra dangerous Cyber Police in hopes of getting a few years shaved off their time. In case they decide to get cute, they're wearing explosive collars guaranteed to keep even the most corrupt in line. In "Memories of the Past," the Cyber Police are deployed to liberate a building that has been taken over by terrorists... so it seems. But whoever has taken possession of this building has an abnormal amount of knowledge about its structure. This is a shoot first ask questions later, race against the clock, adrenaline-charged futuristic mystery where the good guys are only good because they don't have much of a choice.
