Stand Off Movie Review 1993

Dramatization of a 14-hour hostage incident that took place at the Bahamanian High Commission in Ottawa on April Fools Day in 1986. Ex-con David Maltby (Shellen) politely demands that an empty firehall become a shelter for women by taking the High Commissioner for the Bahamas, Jane Briscoe (Sears), as a hostage. Somewhat flawed but psychologically interesting.
