Family Movie Review 1994

Petty thief Charlo Spencer (McGinley) abuses wife Paula (Ryan) and their kids, with young son John Paul in danger of following in his dad's footsteps and teenage daughter Nicola just discovering her emerging sexuality. Narrative is divided into four chapters, each devoted to a different family member. Ordinary life with no melodrama but many priceless moments. Will seem familiar to followers of Roddy Doyle's Barrytown trilogy.
