Author and ex-hunter John (Graves) is called on to help the police in their investigation of a series of murders that seem to have been caused by a wolf that can walk on two legs. He turns to Byron (Walker), an old friend and obsessive hunter (think Zaroff in "The Most Dangerous Game") for help, but Byron refuses, arguing that the murders are making the people in the community feel more alive than ever. Byron involves John in a battle of brawn and hunting skill that will ultimately reveal the truth behind the killings. Passable TV movie by director Curtis feels like another attempt to create a "Kolchak: The Night Stalker"-type TV series, complete with Graves's flashy red Corvette, and a jazzy '70s "wokka-chikka" soundtrack.
