Dr. Watson (Duvall) persuades Sherlock Holmes (Nicholson) to meet with Sigmund Freud (Arkin) to cure his cocaine addiction. Holmes and Freud then find themselves teaming up to solve a supposed kidnapping. Adapted by Nicholas Meyer from his own novel. One of the most charming Holmes films; well-cast, intriguing blend of mystery, drama, and fun. Title refers to the solution of cocaine Holmes injects.
