The Space of Pottery Movie Review 1992

Features the work, creative process, and philosophical perspective of internationally acclaimed ceramicist Paul Mathieu, whose porcelain works defy the normal boundaries of craft, sculpture, and representation. Includes demonstration by Mathieu as he illustrates the many stages of the ceramic process during his creation of a complicated piece inspired by theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking's book, "A Brief History of Time." Winner of numerous awards, including the National Educational Film Festival Gold Apple Award and the CINE Eagle Award.
