Documentary that illustrates the life and work of Reverend L.O. Taylor, a black Baptist minister from Memphis, Tennessee. Emphasis is placed, not only on his religious work, but on his filmmaking achievements in the areas of social, cultural, and religious history of African-American culture in the 1930s and '40s. Winner of numerous awards, including the Best Short Documentary Award from the Athens (Ohio) Film Festival and the CINE Golden Eagle Award.
