Takes a look at the lives of three Huayno musicians in a contemporary Peru torn between the military and the Shining Path guerillas. Emphasis is placed on the complex issues of cultural mixing and what happens to a broad cultural region as it confronts the commercial traditions and demands of the West. Winner of the San Francisco International Film Festival Award. Part of the BBC-TV "Rhythms of the Worlds" presentation.
