Malagan Labadama: A Tribute to Buk-Buk Movie Review 1982

Three brothers organize a Malagan Labadama (burial ceremony) for a fellow tribesman named Buk-Buk, an important figure in the transition of the village from a German colonial outpost through Japanese and Australian occupations to its present administration. Filmed on the island of New Ireland in the Bismarck archipelago of New Guinea.
