Mi Vida Loca Movie Review 1994

Looks at the lives of Latina gang members from L.A.'s Echo Park. The women talk about their romantic dreams, friendships, families, and raising children amidst the pervasive violence and despair of their tough neighborhood. Small budget and some unpolished performances don't lessen film's impact--about the stupidity of violence and how "average" the hopes and dreams of these women are.
