Devil Hunter Yohko Movie Review 1990

Every morning Yohko's grandmother rousts her out of bed like she has to be ready for battle. Then, over breakfast her grandmother and mother argue about her virginity (grandma wants her to keep it, mom wants her to lose it). Thing is, Yohko has been dreaming about losing it, but the dreams all turn into terrible nightmares. Yohko's grandmother tells her about her destiny as the 108th Devil Hunter. Funny high school horror anime with as much sex as a girl that's gotta be pure can stand, a hearty sprinkling of insanity in the form of Granny and a love triangle that gets downright violent. As crazy as things get (check out Yohko's hairstyle), the anime and Yohko are both totally likable. There are five sequels to this movie. Based on the story by Juzo Mutsuki.
