Estevanico and the Seven Cities of Gold Movie Review 1993

Relates the life and accomplishments of Estevanico, the Black slave of explorer Andre Dorontes, and the first non-Indian to see Arizona and New Mexico. His flamboyant character endeared him to the Indians in Florida, who told him of the Seven Cities of Gold. When he later returned to search for the cities in Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico he was killed by Zuni Indians who thought he was a spy.
