Demon City Shinjuku Movie Review 1993

Two men battle against dark forces. One is killed, which allows his rival to turn Shinjuku into a city of monsters inhabited only by those lawless enough to live among the remains of the dead, plus the occasional demon. This dark part of the city seems far away when a dignitary and his daughter arrive in Tokyo. A gift of roses puts him in supernatural danger and his daughter Sayaka is resolved to go into Shinjuku to destroy the evil power at its source. Martial arts student Kyoya is shocked when she asks him to accompany her. The two of them discover much about themselves as they travel the now-horrific streets of what was once a bustling part of the city. Story has its above average moments as well as its somewhat confusing ones.
