Historic footage combined with recreations depict the Canadian contribution in WWII. 2000 ill-prepared Canadian soldiers were sent to Hong Kong in the fall of 1941 as a show of strength. But after the bombing of Pearl Harbor the Japanese troops overwhelmed the small force and on Christmas Day the British colony of Hong Kong officially surrendered. The surviving soldiers became POWs.
