Documentary on Maud's, a popular lesbian bar in the Haight-Asbury district of San Francisco, which flourished between 1966 and 1989. Maud's served as a social world for a generation of lesbians who offer their reminiscences as well as those of owner Rikki Streicher. Also includes a look at the struggle for gay civil rights from a lesbian perspective from the 1940s on.
