The Luistanian army attacks the country of Palse using trickery and magic to defeat the King and take the beautiful Queen captive. Young prince Arislan and commander Daryoon manage to escape. Arislan is determined to gather a band of warriors so he can retake his father's kingdom and free his mother. He and Daryoon visit Lord Narsus and find this once-great warrior is now a semi-drunken artist. But, Arislan perceives that he is still a skilled and valuable ally. Beautifully animated with pretty character designs and the feel of an epic, this story begins promisingly. Although Arislan seems is very young, he is an interesting character as are the band of warriors he gathers around him. This is the first of the six episodes. Based on the story by Yoshiki Tanaka.
