Documents seven "at risk" teens, who themselves have been shuffled through foster homes, working together on a project that aims to help others understand the plight of troubled youth. The adolescents talk about themselves, describing scenes from dysfunctional homes, with family members, and of severe depression. The final project is a mask performance, a symbol of the false identities they sometimes wear to please others or to hide.
