4.0 from 0 reviews

Good discussion vehicle for children who have never been exposed to alcoholism in the home, but may seem somewhat simplistic to those who are forced to deal with the problem on a regular basis. Vignettes depict relatively mild effects of the disease, such as a tired, argumentative parent who breaks promises, and who feels sick all of the time. More severe scenarios such as physical and verbal abuse, feelings of shame and loss of self-esteem, and the stress of coping in a dysfunctional family are not shared. Teacher's guide included.
