A Museum in Time: Louvre 1793-1993 Movie Review 1993

The central Art Museum was created in 1793 and over the next two centuris became the largest museum in the world. The Louvre holds some 360,000 works of art and displays 30,000 at any one time, including the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. Major events celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Louvre are examined as well the the museum's inception, growth, and inner workings.
