Tales from Avonlea, Vol. 1: The Journey Begins Movie Review 1990

From the producer of the popular "Anne of Green Gables" movie and its sequel comes this weekly TV series, a collaboration of the Disney channel and CBC Television. In "The Journey Begins," Sara meets her stuffy Aunt Hetty and her cousins Felix and Felicity. Unhappy with her life, she decides whether to stay or run away. "The Proof of the Pudding" finds the grownups away and Felicity in charge of her siblings and Sara for the weekend. The same attention to detail, particularly in scenic views of lovely Prince Edward Island and the costumes, is shown in the series. Based on the writings of Lucy Maud Montgomery.
