August 7, 1942 was a decisive day in the WWII battle for the south Pacific. More than 38,000 soldiers were killed and 50 ships lost. Undersea explorer Dr. Robert Ballard examines the site and some of the wrecks, as well as meeting with veterans from America, Australia, and Japan. With an introduction by former President George Bush, who served as a Navy pilot in the region.
