A nuclear disaster in the Soviet Union in 1986 resulted in the deaths of an estimated 5000 people. Much needless suffering could have been avoided if the government had notified the people who lived in the vicinity. Instead, the episode was irresponsibly covered up by officials. Message of program is to be cautious of government pronouncements.
