Road to Avonlea Movie Review 1990

Based on Lucy Maud Montgomery's books, these endearing tales are set in Nova Scotia at the turn of the century, and focus on the heroine Sarah, who lives with her aunt, uncle, and cousins in the small Prince Edward Island town of Avonlea. Beautiful cinematography and costuming enhance the stories which include characters last seen in Sullivan's "Anne of Green Gables" and "Anne of Avonlea." Two episodes of the weekly TV series produced in cooperation with CBC and the Disney channel are currently available.
