Destiny Movie Review 1921

Fritz Lang's silent fantasy is a version of the myth of Orpheus. Death takes a young man on the eve of his wedding, but agrees to return him if his fiancee can save three lives. In terms of style, it's really closer to Dreyer's "Vampyr" than to Lang's own "M."
