Decoration Day Movie Review 1990

Garner plays reclusive retired Southern judge Albert Sidney Finch who aids an angry black childhood friend, Gee (Cobbs), who has refused to accept his long-overdue Medal of Honor. Investigating the past leads to a decades-old mystery and a tragic secret that has repercussions for everyone involved. Based on the novel by John William Corrington.
