Olympia, Part 1: The Festival of the People Movie Review 1936

Highlights the carrying of the Olympic flame from Greece as well as the outstanding track-and-field performance of black American runner Jesse Owens during the Berlin games. German filmmaker Riefenstahl was commissioned by the 1936 Olympic committee to film the games, expected to be a triumph to Hitler's dreams of "Aryan" superiority.
