Combines German and Soviet newsreel and documentary footage to tell of the German occupation of the Russian city of Krasnodar during a six-month period from August 1942 to February 1943. During this time, out of a city of 500,000 inhabitants, the Nazis murdered 13,000 Soviets and every member of the Jewish community. In July 1943 the Soviets conducted the first WWII war crimes trials against 11 Russian collaborators. Features the testimony of both eyewitnesses and of the Russian war crimes defendants. In English and German with English subtitles.
